Any veteran who is lonely

I am sorry that after giving service to your country you find yourself lonely at this time of year. My father was a soldier (KSLI) in the late 1920s and enlisted again in 1939, his health was badly affected at Anzio. It can be difficult to get reach out, but there are many who would be proud to befriend you. I hope you will find some comfort in this season and remember that I will be thinking of you and wishing you a brighter new year 🥰

This message goes out to every single man & woman who has risked life & limb in order to protect us & defend our country, our freedom, our rights & our lives. It’s impossible to put this gratitude into words. Thank you just isn’t powerful enough. My Grandad (on the right) was a military man, defusing bombs in WWII - one of the bombs exploded in his hands. The army was everything to him. You deserve to know how important you are. Merry Christmas from a very grateful stranger who loves you. xx

those that didn’t make it home, and those that did.

I live a life where war is something I watch on the news, see in documentaries, read about in books. I have never lived that reality, albeit so many still do across the globe. I don’t live in fear for myself or my family on a daily basis. I haven’t had to take shelter from a bomb or pick up a weapon to defend myself with. I know nothing personally of the true horror of conflict. And that is thanks, in great part, to people like you. Thank you for your sacrifice.

Thank you! Two very small words that cannot convey how much I and my family are grateful for your service. You are a very special person and I hope you know this. I wish you a peaceful time not just for Christmas but for all time. What you have given is far more than I could have and I will be forever grateful to you. To all veterans, Thanks is not enough, I always support help for heroes because that is what you are Heroes, not only do you keep us all safe by risking your lives for us in wars overseas, but you also keep us safe within our own country. If the firemen go on strike the military steps in, if the ambulance drivers strike the military steps in, whatever the emergency is you are always prepared to step in and help, so I don't think thank you is enough but me and all my family thank you all. x x x

Hi I hope you are keeping well and are finding time to enjoy the festive period. I respect anyone who has served are country in defending it against threats. I am a massive aviation enthusiast and my favourite aircraft is the Avro Vulcan, I have witnessed one flying at the 2015 royal international air tattoo, the aircraft was XH558 and this year me and my grannie got to visit Vulcan XL426 at London Southend airport were we got to go into the cockpit.
