I live a life where war is something I watch on the news, see in documentaries, read about in books. I have never lived that reality, albeit so many still do across the globe. I don’t live in fear for myself or my family on a daily basis. I haven’t had to take shelter from a bomb or pick up a weapon to defend myself with. I know nothing personally of the true horror of conflict. And that is thanks, in great part, to people like you. Thank you for your sacrifice.
