Well, we owe you so very much. Its good to talk, remember that add with bob hoskins. I sometimes think that it hurts to talk too so sometimes we just need a hand on our shoulder for reassurance. I wish i could be there in person to lusten and to just sit and be there when i was needed. All i can say is you are truly remarkable, you are not alone. The most amazing and awesome person

Hi I came across this idea on instagram, how amazing is this ! I mean how else can people reach others if not through communication. Firstly how are you? Secondly thank you for being heroic. You may not think it but to me you are! Not alot done today, visited local zoo for a chance encounter with the elephants and right there, two babies were playing in a mud bath , so cute! Whoever you are, head up, I’m thinking of you, your not alone.

The lonely

As a grandad in a family I am not often on my own, but earlier on in life I did have spells on my own; I even thought there was a ‘loner’ in me somewhere. Taking on tasks that gave much satisfaction definitely made me move forward and not feel down. As a college student and a self employed worker I often felt I was going alone, but my constant desire to achieve was a great support when things didn’t always go well. Now as a busy grandad, I am so grateful for those instincts; we can go forward!

My 94 year old Dad served in the Parachute Regiment during National Service. He always talks of the comerardery he experienced during that time & about some of the tricky situations he & his comrades found themselves in now & again! I'd just like to say as an old naval veteran that I wish all veterans in need of encouragement in what are very tough times that a merry Christmas and a better new year. I consider myself fortunate to live my life how I do and and others do not through whatever reason but know like when you were serving that there are people by your side willing to help and just as important to listen to what you have or indeed need to say. Well chosen words have helped me no end and I hope this does the same.

I’m alone in the word with no family or any real friends to call my own and this has been my life since leaving my nursery family of domestic violence decades ago by moving from Canada to England in 1998. Do not suffer in silence. If you are fighting feelings of loneliness and despair it is always best to reach out for help or your thoughts may destroy you! CPTSD is a silent killer and sometimes you do not realise you are suffering. My father fought in Korea and since suffering from CPTSD myself I realise my father suffered. The illness was not recognised until recently. It can cause you to isolate yourself from friends and loved ones, take up addictive habits of all kinds to mask the illness.

It is one of you I wanted to be. Not clever enough to be in the RAF, not brave enough to go into the Army or Navy (I know the RAF are just as brave!) - So, I opted for 'easy' street. Well, it's not been that easy, but I've little doubt your path (at times) has been much harder. My work, H4H & Veterans Lottery means I do keep some connection with the best group of people the UK has to offer, YOU!. Have as good Christmas as you can, and if you are suffering, remember good AND BAD times end!

I serviced 28 years in in RAF would not missed it for anything. Great life, my wife serviced in Cyprus, Germany and the UK with me. We brought a RAF Married in Dyce Aberdeen never been more happy.
