Know that you are never alone. We stand with you in all you do whilst you serve. The country and its people are proud of you. I am proud of you. My son served for 11 years in the Royal Artillery and served in Afghanistan. You and your comrades were his family while we couldn’t be with him and I am eternally grateful for all the help and support he received from his mates whilst on active service. I hope you have a good Christmas and best wishes to you for the New Year.
