When I first woke up from a stroke I could not move or speak it felt as if my whole world had been taken away but sheer will power and prayer meant that I began to speak and eat. Altho' my spine was paralyzed. I could sit in a wheelchair. It took a long time to accept I was disabled. I would think having a limb blown off, you go thru' similar terrors. Finding it hard to adjust to the new you. There is help out there if you need it not just what the army provides. Try and enjoy Christmas.
