I’m not a mushy person, I’m a Yorkshire woman so usually direct. Although I can’t pretend to understand your current circumstances, I most definitely connect with everything you experienced whilst in uniform..and it’s that part of your life that defines you. 100%. You must have been strong, we all had to be, to put up the ups and downs dished out to us. You ARE a Veteran! You’ve been there, got the tee shirt and survived everything they threw at you.
