Nothing can ever diminish the magnitude of your sacrifices. No-one can ever question your valor. We owe you a debt of gratitude that can never be fully repaid. I do not know the details of your service, but I do know it came at a cost to you. I want you to know that you are seen and acknowledged. Abstract ideas, such as "patriotism" only take us so far. We who serve know that we fight for the man standing beside us. May I wish you a very Merry Christmas, and a happy and rewarding New Year.
