I thank you for all the messages of support and gratitude. You talk of us Veterans being loved, thought about and not forgotten. However, I (and others) are living within your community and existing daily without support as we have no family or close friends. You will not see us or identify us, as when we do leave our "safe place" we put on our "masks" and "armour" so that we do not stand out in the crowd. Enjoy the festive period with your close family and friends, but we will still be alone.
